Youth VOICES is a new project which builds on Youth LIVES. It brings together young people with lived experience of mental health challenges from Youth LIVES to share their stories, ideas, and insights.
The youth co-creators will design, host, and produce a podcast series exploring key topics. The project aims to amplify youth perspectives and spark conversations that can shape future mental health policy and practice. Through training, collaboration, and creativity, Youth VOICES empowers young people to use their voices for change, making mental health discussions more inclusive, authentic, and impactful.
Youth VOICES started in 2025 and runs until 2027. It is funded by the Mentally Fit York Fund, which is the University of York’s fund to transform mental health through supporting on the ground initiatives and the latest groundbreaking research.
